Theatre
Lowell Arts Theatre provides opportunities for those in the West Michigan theatre community to apply to be a direct or audition to be an actor in one of our upcoming productions. We offer two adult plays, and a youth play with opportunities for youth and adults to perform. Check back here to find links to upcoming opportunities for theatre.
Music
Lowell Arts offers opportunities for musicians to submit an application to perform. There are two main performance opportunities, Lowell Showboat Sizzlin' Summer Concerts summer concerts series (June through August) and the Lowell Arts at Sound Check concert series (October to May). Both of these opportunities are for musicians based in Michigan.

Instructors
Calling all artists and art educators! Lowell Arts is seeking instructors to teach visual or performing arts classes for all ages. Interested individuals are invited to submit a class proposal, which are accepted on a quarterly basis. Class size is set at a max of 20 students. Qualifications include being 18 or older, having expertise in your medium, and preferably some prior teaching experience. We look forward to reviewing your class proposal!
Internships
Theatre Intern
Theatre Internship for high school students, college students, or recent college graduates with a focus in Theatre Administration, Technical Theatre, and/or Stage Management. Gain hands-on experience with Lowell Arts Theatre program as Assistant Producer and Stage Manager.

Gallery Intern
College students with a focus in art have a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience as an Intern with Lowell Arts Gallery program. Duties include assisting with exhibitions, prepping gallery walls, installing artwork, greeting patrons, and event coordination.

Scholarships
Louise Harper Memorial Scholarship presented by Lowell Arts

Lowell Arts proudly administers the $1,000 Louise Harper Memorial Scholarship. Recipients are selected through a competitive evaluation process that considers academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, a personal statement outlining aspirations and goals, and demonstrated financial need. Students must attend Lowell High School or live in the Lowell school district and attend any public, private, charter or home-based school.

About the Louise Harper Memorial Scholarship
The Louise Harper Memorial Scholarship was established by Louise’s friends and family to honor her memory through an annual award. Each year, the scholarship recognizes one outstanding graduating high school senior who plans to pursue higher education in the fine arts, including visual art, theatre, music, dance, and film.
