The Lowell Arts Artist Market features giftable fine art and fine craft works by Michigan artists. The gallery space is transformed into a retail setting with unique, one-of-a-kind items available for sale at a range of price points. The annual market is a great place for people to purchase handmade items during the gift giving season.

 

Gift items include: pottery, paintings, photography, jewelry, textiles, glasswork, handbags, woodwork, metalwork, ornaments, soaps, and more.

West Michigan Art Competition

February 22 - April 12, 2025

The 39th Annual Lowell Arts West Michigan Art Competition highlights outstanding artwork by Lower West Michigan artists who reside in a 25-county region. Artwork in any visual art media can be submitted by artists 18 yrs. and older. A total of $3500 in cash awards will be presented. Artists may submit one piece for consideration by the juror.

U-Create: Member Exhibition

April 19 – May 31, 2025

The Lowell Arts Member Exhibition will feature the unique visual artwork created by Lowell Arts members. Lowell Arts member artists, age 14 and older, are invited to submit one piece of art in any media. Eligible art or fine craft needs to have been created within the last 3 years, be suitable for all viewing audiences, be ready for display, and be for sale.

Unexpected Choices ​

​August 24 – October 5, 2024

Unexpected Choices is an exhibition organized by students from Ferris State University, Design Program College of Business and is based on the contents of the West Michigan Graphic Design Archives. Through a colorful display of printed artifacts creatively displayed in the Lowell Arts Gallery, the exhibit features the innovative and ground-breaking design work for which West Michigan has been known for decades.

 

This project is funded in part by Michigan Humanities, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
