About the event

Single Session | Saturday, May 16, 1:00pm-3:00pm

Explore memory, migration, and identity through textile and storytelling in this participatory workshop. Through simple, hands-on techniques including writing, stitching, tying, and pigment marking, you'll create a personal "memory fragment" inspired by ideas of home and belonging. Participants are invited to bring a small piece of personal fabric — a scrap of clothing, a scarf, or any textile that holds meaning.

Participants leave with a tangible, one-of-a-kind artwork that captures a piece of their own story. All supplies included. All skill levels welcome.

  • Instructors: Merima Smajlović & Mary Jane Pories

  • Ages: 18+

  • Materials Needed: Optional - small piece of personal fabric. All materials provided.
