June 19, 6:00pm (Performance for Family & Friends)

Want to know what it’s like to perform on stage? Or maybe you’re an experienced performer and want more on-stage practice? Perform in an original one-act play and learn acting techniques and tips along the way. Brent Alles and Rob Freund will take you through the experience of putting on a show, from auditions to blocking to performance. The play choosen for this year's class will be dependent on the number of students.

  • Ages: 7 to 16
  • Materials Needed: All materials provided.
  • Class Fee: $90 ($72 for Lowell Arts Members)
  • Registration Closes: Thursday, May 23 at 5:00pm

Brent Alles has experience acting, directing, and writing plays, including plays for kids. He has a Master of Arts in Humanities from Central Michigan University, an MBA from Capella University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Education from Syracuse University. Brent is a member of the sketch comedy trio, Public Domain, with Rob Freund and Jeff Stacer.

Rob Freund has been with the Lowell Arts Theatre since 2005. During that time, he has acted in numerous shows and has had the chance to direct a few. Rob is also founding member, writer, and performer for the comedy group Public Domain. The theater has been a passion of Rob’s that first developed in elementary school. He looks forward to teaching some acting techniques and the workings of a play to another generation of actors.
